Like an Apple on the Tree

Love! A very strong word I guess. We are all searching to find a meaning to this word, to experience it, but we are always looking in the wrong direction.

We are desperately waiting for Mr. and Mrs. Right, we are searching in every corner in this world for them. And it’s getting us down everytime we see one of our friends gets what they wanted. That is not right, we deserve much better than this way of thinking.

I can see many people depressed because they are in desperate need to find “Love Portions”. This makes me really sad. We are such loving creatures and we’re always looking for someone else to love, but we never thought of loving ourselves!

I am a total believer of the saying “Love yourself First before anyone can love you” do you know why? When you love yourself and you know how to be happy, you will shine. You will be amazingly full of positive rays and this will attract people to you. But if you hate yourself and you keep living in your own drama world, you are sending negative vibes that will push people away from you, INCLUDING Mr. and Mrs. Right.

Just sit with yourself, listen to your heart speak! Realize your own worth. You are someone important, and your heart is as important as you. Don’t give it away to anyone. They have to deserve it to take it. So what other people are getting into a relation? It’s still not your time yet.

Yesterday, my neighbor got married. And dad was trying to tease me about it that I am still single. I just answered that it’s still not my time. “Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just take the apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy…….so, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re AMAZING. They just have to wait for the right guy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree….” 

I know how some of you will look at this quote, but think of the positive thing about it. Please I am not trying to be arrogant or anything, I am just trying to state a fact here. Sometimes, girls and boys think that no one loves them even though they are good and amazing. It’s ok dears; there will come a day when someone brave enough will realize how lovely you are and then they will never let you go. Just wait and while waiting, try to hop down from the top of the tree and get adventurous. 

And even if this person never comes along, and you stayed single for the rest of your life, IT’S NOT WRONG! Learn how to love yourself, learn how to treat yourself the best way. Know yourself more, what you like, what you don’t like… Don’t keep crying over love. You can love yourself, you can love your family, and you can love your friends. Don’t fall in love because you’re lonely, fall in love because you found the one who will catch your fall. 

A little reminder in the end, never ever hate life for not giving you love, you never know what’s waiting for you.
